What a weekend!

It was great!

First of all, meet our niece, Emma!
She came in at 5 lbs, 10 oz, 19 inches, on Saturday at 3:24 am. She is such a sweet little girl, and, if she inherited some of the good ol' Fong genes, a little feisty too! I was holding her when my little guy kicked, subsequently kicking her, and she kicked him back! Maybe it was coincidence or just a reflex, but I'd like to chalk it up to her showing a little personality.

Saturday was also the day of our baby shower. Our family & friends were more than generous in giving us presents. This little guy literally won't need new clothes until he's 1! One of our favorites was the beautiful quilt my Aunt Wendy made - it's so pretty I'm almost afraid to let the little guy near it... until maybe he's 20! Most of the pictures have not been downloaded onto a website yet, so check back for a link to the posts. But here's a shot of the presents that are piled up in the little guy's room (and there's more in another room!):

We did have one return because we had already ordered an infant carrier seat. We thought it was from Babies R Us, but nope, from Wal-Mart. Do any of you ever go there? How do you do it? It was like a whole different world! Never did I think there was such a place in beautiful Pleasanton, in the business park too, of all places. The people there were... well, let's just say that for the most part, there are no manners there, the store is chaotic, and we couldn't wait to get out! We wanted to spend the store credit right then and there so we would never have to go back. We ended up buying 200 pairs of Pampers and about 20 Vitamin Waters (on sale for 88 cents each!).

The other "big" thing this weekend was Josh hobbling around with a sprained knee (on top of a broken ankle from earlier this year) - from playing hoops. Here's a picture:

Not nearly as pretty as the other pictures, but it looked better then than it does now. The doctor had him take an MRI today to make sure it isn't anything more serious like a torn ACL. Like I told him, he's definitely not a young 'un anymore!
